The baker looks too unkempt to me with his long hair. Was there once. Too expensive too small pieces of cake.

We were looking for a traditional cafe and stumbled upon this gem by chance. I had a piece of cake with chestnuts and figs and it was one of the best I've ever eaten. There was a huge variety of interesting cakes and if I lived nearby I would be here every week.

I think it is the oldest café in the Palatinate. Man feels like back then. ? Location and owner are definitely the same age, only cafe and cake are fresher. Nice selection of delicious cakes (homemade, according to grandma's recipe) friendly nice service. We go back to swallowing beer. ?

I have not seen such a creepy cafe for a long time, totally outdated, neglected, Berliner was warmed up without being asked, because supposedly the window would let it get too cold. And the Berliners are sold for 2 days, so you can never be sure whether they are fresh. The dining room is an elongated hose without a window. The way to the toilet is life-threatening, as it leads straight down the stairs. Only a small sign indicates that. Never again! Across the street there is a wonderful cafe (Cafe Sixt), which we unfortunately discovered too late!

A really good old traditional café in the main street of Neustadt. There are a few places (> 10) outdoors, but here people smoke and therefore it smells of smoke. Hardly recognizable from outside there is a long room with small tables behind the cake counter, in which groups can also find a place. The cooperating owner made all the cakes himself and can tell an interesting story about each one. The modern and clean toilets are in the basement - be careful, the stairs start directly behind the sliding door. The charm of the café overlooks slight weaknesses in the building fabric.

Café Schluckebier is my favorite café in Neustadt. Everything is made in-house, the people are very friendly and always available for a chat. It just has its very own charm and I hope that it will last for a long time.

If you love the 50s style, I am one of them, you should visit this café. Everything fits here, from the display in the window to the selection of cakes, the loving decoration and the cake fork. A visit that's worth it. Highly Recommended!
